What Is the Web Terminal and Why Use It

The Web Terminal is a browser-based trading platform provided by our company. It requires no software download. You access it directly from the Exness website. This terminal runs on the MetaTrader 5 (MT5) engine. It offers full trading functionality for forex, commodities, indices, and cryptocurrencies.

Indian traders benefit from instant access on any device. You can use it on Windows, macOS, or Linux. Only an internet connection and a modern browser are needed. The interface mirrors the desktop MT5. You get real-time quotes, advanced charting, and one-click trading.

Our Web Terminal supports INR-denominated accounts. You can trade without currency conversion fees. All order types are available. Execution speed is under 30 milliseconds. This makes it suitable for scalping and day trading.

Getting Started with the Web Terminal

Accessing the Web Terminal

Visit the Exness website and log into your personal area. From the dashboard, click on “Platforms” then select “Web Terminal”. Alternatively, go directly to the Web Terminal URL provided in your account email. No installation is required. The platform loads within seconds.

If you have multiple accounts, choose the correct login ID and server. For Indian traders, the server is usually “Exness-MT5” or “Exness-Real”. Enter your password and click “Login”. A confirmation sound indicates success.

Logging In and Account Selection

Navigating the Interface

Market Watch and Charts

To customize the Market Watch, right-click anywhere on the list. Select “Show All” to display every available instrument. You can sort by symbol name or group by asset class. Each symbol shows the spread in pips.

Click any symbol to open a new chart. Use the timeframe buttons at the top (M1, M5, M15, H1, H4, D1, W1, MN). You can open multiple charts in separate tabs. Each chart can have different indicators and templates.

• Select an instrument from Market Watch (for example, EUR/USD).
• Right-click and choose “New Order”. Alternatively, drag the symbol to the chart.
• In the Order window, set Volume (lot size). Use the arrows or type a custom value.
• Enter Stop Loss and Take Profit levels in pips or price.
• Click “Buy by Market” or “Sell by Market” to execute.
• The order appears immediately in the Trade tab under Toolbox.

All trades execute within milliseconds. You can modify or close them from the same tab. Track your profit and loss in real time.

Market Orders and Pending Orders

Market orders execute at the current price. Our platform fills them within milliseconds. For pending orders, select “Pending Order” from the Type dropdown. Choose Buy Limit, Sell Limit, Buy Stop, or Sell Stop. Enter the price at which you want the order to trigger.

Set expiration for pending orders (for example, GTC, Day, or a specific date). This avoids stale orders. You can modify open positions by right-clicking on them in the Trade tab. Adjust stop loss, take profit, or close partially.

Using the One-Click Trading Panel

Enable the one-click trading panel from the toolbar. This panel appears above the chart. It shows current bid/ask, a volume selector, and Buy/Sell buttons. Trades open instantly without confirmation. Use this feature only when you are confident in your strategy.

Setting Stop Loss and Take Profit

When placing a new order, enter SL and TP directly in the Order window. You can also drag lines on the chart after the order is open. The chart-based SL/TP lines appear as horizontal dashed lines. Move them by clicking and dragging.

For existing positions, right-click on the order in the Trade tab. Select “Modify or Delete Order”. Change the values as needed. Confirm changes. The system updates immediately.

Web Terminal Performance Tips for India

Indian traders can optimize their experience with a few adjustments. Use a wired internet connection for lower latency. Choose a server physically close to you. Exness servers in Mumbai offer reduced ping times.

Avoid public Wi-Fi when trading real money. Use a VPN only if necessary. VPNs can increase ping and reduce execution speed. Test your connection speed before each session.

Common Issues and Troubleshooting

If the Web Terminal does not load, check your browser compatibility. Clear the cache and try again. If the chart freezes, reduce the number of open charts. Close unused Market Watch symbols.

If login fails, verify the server name. Indian accounts typically use “Exness-Real8”. Contact support if the issue persists. Our team resolves most issues within 5 minutes.

Connection and Latency

Use the built-in connection status icon at the bottom right. Green means connected. Yellow indicates reconnecting. Red means disconnected. Refresh the browser or restart the router.
